NexRemote software comes with an RS-232 cable to connect your Celestron telescope to a PC. If you already own a compatible Celestron computerized telescope and want to take it to the next level of convenience and enjoyment, NexRemote software can be downloaded for free here (note that you will need a RS-232 cable and a serial-to-USB adapter). NexRemote is usually installed in the C: Program Files (x86) Celestron NexRemote folder, subject to the user's decision. C: Program Files (x86) Celestron NexRemote UnInstallNexRemote.exe is the full command line if you want to remove NexRemote. NexRemote's primary file takes around 1.70 MB (1777664 bytes) and its name is NexRemote.exe. Cubase 5 demo project download.

Nov 24, 2015 I can't see why anybody would wish to embrace Nexremote today. Its replacement, CPWI version 2.3.4 Final RC1 is now available, is stable and 100% Windows 10 compatible. By contrast, NexRemote is a compatibility nightmare unless you have a Windows 7 laptop. SkySafari 4 now is Mac compatible (OSX 10.6 and up). It is on the Apple OSX App Store. Get the Plus or Pro version if you seek telescope control capability. Nebulosity is Mac compatible too, but it is for image capture, stacking, and processing only. Also, I am using oaCapture a relatively new open source Mac compatible program for image capture. There are several good things afoot, Skeezix. If you have the need to run your telescope remotely, NexRemote is a godsend. You don't have to mess with networking PCs; you have a hand control right on your screen, a hand control that can do anything the hardware HC can do, since, again, it is the NexRemote hand control.

Celestron Nexremote For Mac
This is the home of the ASCOM Initiative, a loosely-knit group of astronomy software developers and astronomy device manufacturers devoted to vendor-independent plug-and-play control. ASCOM is a many-to-many and language-independent architecture, supported by most astronomy devices which connect to Windows and now Linux and MacOS computers. The diagram below shows how ASCOM differs from traditional astronomy instrument control architectures. This architecture applies to both Windows/COM and cross-platform Alpaca technologies.
